Widex Mind440 Benefits
The mind™ 440 hearing aid series includes innovative benefits that aim to give the hearing aid user a better listening experience. These benefits include an upgrade of the sound technology, a relaxation program and a verbal messaging system.
Sound Technology
With the Widex Mind 440 series we have upgraded our famous sound technology (ISP) to create Dual ISP.
mind 440 hearing aids are also the first Widex hearing aid to feature the TruSound compression system. The Widex philosophy is:
soft sounds must be audible but remain soft in character
normal speech must be audible and intelligible
loud sounds should be heard but not uncomfortable to listen to
The TruSound compression system helps to ensure that changing between sound environments is made as smooth and fast as possible.
Relaxation Program
Widex mind 440 is the first hearing aid ever to feature a relaxation and tone program. We call it the Zen program.
The Zen program plays random, harmonic tones you can listen to at your leisure, for example if you want to relax.
With the Zen Program:
You have five different choices of Zen styles music programs
You have five different choices of Zen styles music programs
Tempo, volume and pitch can be adjusted by your hearing care professional, giving you total control over the way you listen
Verbal Messaging System
To help you take the guesswork out of controlling hearing functions, Widex has created an innovative verbal messaging system, SmartSpeak. The system talks you through such functions as low battery power and program mode.
SmartSpeak uses actual recorded speech to tell you of Widex mind 440 functions such as Zen and battery power. These clear, verbal messages come in a wide variety of languages, making it much easier for you to adjust programs and settings.
RC4 remote control
The RC4 remote control makes it easy to select programs, adjust the volume and control functions in your mind440 hearing aid.
A shortcut button on RC4-2 also gives you fast access to the Zen+ program in the hearing aid.
With the mute button you can quickly switch off the sound without having to turn the hearing aid off.
SCOLA™ FM system
The mind440 series is fully compatible with SCOLA FM, Widex’ assistive listening device system, which makes it easy to hear and understand speech in noisy environments such as classrooms.
The SCOLA FM system is our answer to the many wishes voiced by audiologists, teachers, hearing aid users and their families.
SCOLA gives both children and adults with impaired hearing optimum opportunities for hearing and understanding speech when they are in noisy environments with poor acoustics.
The SCOLA FM system makes everyday communication easier. Especially for children, SCOLA will together with the hearing aid help to improve both speech and social development in the school as well as in the learning process.
Mind 440 Models
mind440 is available in a wide range of different models to suit all types of hearing loss. From discreet micro, mini and power BTE’s (behind-the-ear) to a CIC (completely-in-canal) and an ITE (in-the-ear), the mind440 series has a model for you.
mind440 m4-m
A micro BTE model that is extremely discreet and one of the smallest Widex hearing aids available. Recommended for minimal to moderately severe hearing loss.
mind440 m4-m-CB
A micro BTE model with ClearBand hi-fi two-way receiver, resulting in superb sound quality across the frequency range. Discreet and one of the smallest Widex hearing aids available. Recommended for minimal to moderately severe hearing loss.
mind440 m4-9
A BTE model of compact design. Recommended for minimal to severe hearing loss.
mind440 m4-19
A BTE model of compact design that delivers sound through a customised earmould. Recommended for moderate to severe-to-profound hearing loss.
mind440 m4-CIC
A CIC model which is placed in the ear canal and is virtually invisible. Recommended for minimal to moderately severe hearing loss.
mind440 m4-X
An ITE model that fits discreetly in the ear or ear canal. Recommended for minimal to moderately severe hearing loss.
Selection of colours
The Widex mind440 hearing aid series is available in six basic colours and three new colours, so you can easily choose a colour to suit your style and taste.
The three new colours are Burnt Orange and the exclusive Limited Edition Black Gradient and Cappuccino Gradient.
