Oticon Syncro 2

Syncro is a new brand of hearing aid. Oticon Syncro uses Artificial Intelligence to analyze your listening environment and provide optimum amplification at all times.

Syncro is a complete family of state of the art digital products suitable for all types of hearing losses from mild to severe-to-profound.

Oticon Syncro hearing instruments use Artificial Intelligence to optimize the performance of the Voice Priority Processing system - providing significant benefits to users in demanding listening situations.

Oticon Syncro

With the introduction of the Oticon Syncro 2, Oticon has made improvements to its successful flagship hearing device. New to the Syncro 2 hearing aid is the Activity Analyzer. This process records information about the patient's preferred settings and how the Oticon Syncro reacted to the user's sound environment. This allows the Audiologist to manage your adaptation period more precisely. Also, the fitting range for the Syncro 2 hearing aid has been expanded to allow people with more severe hearing loss to benefit from the technology.

Oticon Syncro 2 Hearing Aids are the first hearing aid to cross the boundary from ordinary, digital technology into the future category of advanced hearing instruments with artificial intelligence. The human brain has a natural ability to focus on speech and filter out noise, and Oticon Syncro 2 Hearing Aids use Artificial Intelligence to simulate this process. Oticon Syncro 2 Hearing Aids react much like the brain when adjusting to a particular listening situation: It automatically tracks and enhances speech while reducing irrelevant noises. Oticon Syncro 2’s new Voice Priority Processing system comprises three key elements: Multi-band Directionality, TriState Noise Management and Voice Aligned Compression. These systems work in parallel to monitor and analyze all critical sound parameters and determine which combination of settings will provide the optimum Voice-over-Noise ratio.

Artificial Intelligence

The human brain has a natural ability to focus on speech and filter out noise. Syncro hearing aids use Artificial Intelligence to simulate this process. Oticon Syncro reacts much like the brain when adjusting to a particular listening situation: It automatically tracks and enhances speech while attenuating ambient noises.

Three Key Elements

Oticon Syncro's new Voice Priority Processing system comprises three key elements: Multi-band Directionality, TriState Noise Management and Voice Aligned Compression. These systems work in parallel to monitor and analyze all critical acoustic parameters and determine which combination of settings will provide the optimum Voice-over-Noise ratio in the Syncro hearing aid.

Multi-band Adaptive Directionality

Syncro hearing aids use Multiband Adaptive Directionality to split the signal into four different frequencies. This enables it to remain in directional mode longer and to suppress multiple noise sources simultaneously.

Three Modes of Operation

Oticon Syncro hearing aids offer three modes of operation: Surround, Split Directionality and Full Directionality. The new, Split Directionality Mode now broadens the directional function to include lower input levels - including moderate wind noise. Only the first of Oticon Syncro's four adaptive frequency bands moves into Surround Mode, so that the three mid- and higher-frequency bands can continue to purge the speech signal for noise.

Each Oticon Syncro can cancel out up to four different noise sources simultaneously.

Split Directionality mode makes the system more responsive at lower input levels, i.e the noisier it gets, the more focused Oticon Syncro becomes. It shifts between three modes of directionality to increase the focus on the main speaker.
